Will (he/him/his) is a MSc Student in UW’s School of Aquatic and Fisheries Sciences. He eared a BSc in Environmental Science with minors in Economics and Zoology, as well as a BSc in Marine Sciences from the University of Florida in 2022. As an undergraduate, he worked under the direction of Dr. Zach Siders to create a depth-distribution model for Pacific shark species to better aid fisheries management efforts in Hawaii. He also worked alongside Dr. Nick Funicelli to examine the spatio-temporal distribution of invasive lionfish populations in the Florida Keys. During his time at UF, Will also served as president of UFSO, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting K-12 STEM education He continues to serve in an emeritus role. Before joining the PuntLab, Will served as a research coordinator for UW’s Chemistry and Urology departments. Will’s MSc research will involve estimating target reference points for groundfish populations in the Pacific Northwest.
