Madison is a master’s student in the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences at the University of Washington. Madison earned two BSc from the UW in 2015 in Aquatic and Fishery Science and Oceanography. Upon graduation, she began working at Natural Resources Consultants Inc. (NRC) as a fisheries analyst and the majority of her work has focused on important commercial crab species in Alaska. She has conducted research in the Bering Sea on a biannual basis since 2015 and projects have included crab selectivity, recruitment, and growth studies. Madison is continuing to explore questions on Bering Sea crab stocks and will likely focus her master’s work on management strategy evaluation of Bering Sea Tanner crab (Chionoecetes bairdi).
