Elizabeth Councill was a postdoctoral research associate at the NOAA Northwest Fisheries Science Center and the University of Washington. Eliza received her B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Tennessee in 2007 and her Ph.D. in Marine Biology and Fisheries as part of the Institute for Theoretical and Mathematical Ecology from the University of Miami in 2014. Her research focused on structured population models applied to pelagic marine fish stocks and statistical modeling of recruitment forecasting. Eliza enjoys hiking, meat smoking, fly fishing, and bad horror movies in her spare time.
